Barium Fluoride Sputtering Targets
Barium Fluoride is an inorganic compound that appears as transparent crystals. There are two types of application of barium fluoride. The first type is often found in glass or optical manufactures that produce lenses or windows of infrared spectroscopy. Barium fluoride is also a great element for radiography devices (e.g. scintillators for detecting X-rays, gamma-ray, or any high energy particles). The second type of barium fluoride application can be found in aluminum-metallurgy. Barium fluoride is used as an additive for the aluminum refining process. Adding barium fluoride sputtering target as a protective coat will give the substance a high resistance to high energy particles and prevent any impairments due to exposure of x-rays or gamma rays. Barium fluoride sputtering targets can also optimize the conductivity of semiconductors and be used as a flux and opacifying agent in glazing production.
