Lanthanum Strontium Manganate(La0.7Sr0.3MnO3)
It is an oxide ceramic material with a perovskite-based crystal structure. Lanthanum Strontium Manganite (LSM) is available in black color with density varying on the processing method. The extra holes of LSM increase electronic conductivity in the valence bond due to the doping of strontium on lanthanum. Its transference number is close to one. The high electronic conductivity is ideal as it can be commonly used in commercial production of solid oxide fuel cells(SOFCs) as a cathode material. The half-metal behavior displays the use in spintronic. LSM also helps in forming gas pathways along with electrical transfers. It can easily and readily be used in tape casting, hairspray and ink for screen printing due to its jet blackness. The Specific Surface Area (SSA) of La0.7Sr0.3Mg1-xMnxO3 manganite was obtained under the N2 atmosphere. The melting point of this element is >300 °C.
