Neodymium Oxide Micron Powder

Neodymium Oxide Micron Powder

Neodymium oxide (Nd2O3) is an important, naturally abundant and highly reactive rare earth metal oxide. Nd2O3 micron powder has a hexagonal crystal structure and a blueish-white color. The high melting point of the material is around 2300°C. Outstanding optical, electrical, and chemical properties of Nd2O3 is utilized in various different applications. Neodymium oxide powder has especially drawn attention in photonic applications such as phosphors providing yellow-to-violet up conversion emission. In addition to photonic applications, Nd2O3 powder is utilized as additives for coloring and enhancing the optical properties of glasses. Neodymium oxide nanoparticle is used as catalysts and catalyst supports. It is also used as coloring agent of glass and ceramics. It is used as dopant for solid state lasers and as additive for Mg and Al alloys and polymers. It is also used as an effective semiconductor material in diodes, as components for high temperature ceramics and superconductors. Catalytic properties of Nd2Opowder is utilized in oxidative coupling of methane, N2 decomposition, dehydrogenation of alcohols. Other application areas of Nd2Oare solid-sate lasers, high temperature ceramics, superconductors, and protective coatings.
