Nickel foil can be used as a substrate to grow several nanomaterials. By solution immersion method, a superhydrophobic surface of nanowire structure can be grown on a nickel foil. Nickel foils can also be used in battery mesh, in printed circuit boards of electronic devices, as heating elements, in development of materials used in aerospace industry and finally as security tags due to its magnetic property.
