Barium Titanate Sputtering Targets

Barium Titanate Sputtering Targets

Barium titanate is an inorganic compound that appears similarly to barium fluoride. It also has a transparent crystal appearance but larger in terms of size compared to barium fluoride. Barium titanate has been used in many applications. A high purity barium titanate is used as an electrical insulator. This means preventing electrical voltage went through the insulator material (e.g. protective wire cables). This compound can also be used as piezoelectric materials in microphones or other transducers. Barium titanate can be very useful when it comes to positive temperature coefficient resistance. It makes a great coating for piezoelectric materials used for a thermistor or any self-regulating heating systems to prevent impairments due to unstable temperatures. Aside from piezoelectric, it can also be used for pyroelectric materials used for thermal camera sensors. With barium titanate sputtering targets, it is possible to reach the optimum effectiveness for these materials.
